Our KIND Education programme supports children in local primary schools through tailored educational programmes and activities that aid their development and help them reach their potential.
Our work consists of a child centred approach that is designed to enable each child to achieve their potential in a caring, structured and supportive environment. No matter their background or what their needs may be, we aim to show them that they and life can be different.
There are currently 4 main education programmes that we offer:
Our KS1 & KS2 science programme is practical, hands-on, fun learning in an eco friendly environment. The children explore the KIND garden, pond and roof garden allotment to achieve National Curriculum objectives in Science for KS1 & KS2. They have opportunities to apply their learning in useful ways such as planting, harvesting, cooking and eating their own food.

In our Same and Different programme, children work together in groups to learn about the diversity in the world and how to embrace this in a positive way. The children explore the differences between cultures and attitudes by engaging in practical and thought-provoking activities such as drama, role-play, video making, music and sport to share and develop their thoughts and ideas.

Our Mindfulness Programme is a 2-day course that teaches children about the benefits of mindfulness and gives them a chance to explore techniques and strategies to help them cope with their own emotions. Over the two days children gain practical knowledge and experience of techniques that they can incorporate into their everyday lives that help them to tackle stress, worries and cope with challenging and emotive situations.
